McDonogh No.16

In summer 2016, as an Institute for African American Research graduate summer research grantee, I conducted five oral interviews to teachers and school administrators of the McDonogh No.16 School about racial integration and post-civil rights struggles.

Combined with my research about the Fillmore School, I am currently writing a history of the New Orleans public school system from the perspectives of African American communities.
